Biography
Alejandro Garnacho became Aston Villa’s third signing of the summer 2026 transfer window, when arriving on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The 22-year-old winger began his professional career as a teenager at Manchester United, after time in the academies at both Getafe and Atlético Madrid.
An Argentinian international, Garnacho has eight caps for his country and formed a part of the squad which won the 2024 Copa América.
While at United, he won both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, scoring in the final of the former in 2024, while his spectacular overhead kick effort against Everton at Goodison Park earlier that season was named Premier League Goal of the Season and Manchester United’s Goal of the Season as well as winning the 2024 FIFA Puskás Award.
