Modou Kéba Cissé joined Aston Villa from LASK in July 2026. It was the conclusion of a deal which was struck 12 months earlier and that saw the defender continue his development in Austria.

During the 2025/26 season, Cissé was a key player for LASK as they won a league and cup double, making 30 appearances at the heart of defence.

Born in Senegal and a product of the Be Sport Academy, he initially moved to Europe with Spanish side Real Ávila before a move to LASK in 2024.
