John McGinn found the net to help Scotland to a 2-0 victory over North Macedonia in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday night.
The Aston Villa captain scored a 69th-minute penalty, his 22nd goal for his nation, to double the Tartan Army’s lead and steer Sebastien Pocognoli to his first win in charge.
McGinn completed 90 minutes in Skopje as Scotland, who finished the match with 10 men, moved on to four points in League B Group 1.
Elsewhere in the same group, Villa team-mate Johan Manzambi helped Switzerland come from behind to secure a 2-1 triumph over Slovenia.
The attacking midfielder enjoyed 90 minutes in Lucerne as Switzerland continued their 100 per cent start in the Nations League and made it nine points from three matches.
